50 Cent claims LA is done after controversial zero-bail policy reinstated.

The ”In the Club” rapper was quick to point out his dissatisfaction towards the LA  controversial zero-bail policy which has been reinstated with the rapper quickly saying it was all over in the city.

The policy, which was reinstated in May, states that L.A. police won’t detain people who are accused of minor wrongdoing crimes such as burglary, shoplifting, drug use, vandalism, and battery. those who were previously charged and imprisoned under these charges were quickly freed.

Even when the low had mercy on those who had committed little offenses non-worthy of heavy punishment, the ”Many Men” rapper said it was not good news for the city.

However, commenters clarified that the policy is not what it seems and that the Fox News clip that 50 Cent shared that made this claim wasn’t entirely accurate.

“When will Black ppl learn that anything from Fox News will be conservative propaganda?!?!” one commenter wrote. “This is not what is actually happening. Anyone arrested will be detained and go through the system as per usual. They will see a judge and a court date will be given.

“In the past, the judge set a cash bail and if you could not afford it you stay in Jail until your court date. This was biased towards people from higher income classes cause they could actually afford bail.”

The commenter continued: “Now no one will who is arrested for the low-level non-violent crime be forced to pay cash bail and remain jailed until their court date. Everyone who commits these offenses will be able to stay home until their court date just like people with money used to be able to.”
