Trevor Chalobah commends Chelsea’s new coach Mauricio Pochettino.
According to 24 yr old Trevor Chalobah, newly appointed Chelsea coach Mauricio Pochettino is the man who is capable of revamping the squad.
Chelsea performed woefully last season and the criticism came hard on the entire playing squad and technical staff leading to the sacking of head coach Tuchel and later Potter.
Chalobah has stated that it’s been very hard work in training when it comes to the fitness element since Pochettino took over as the head coach.
In an interview on Chelsea’s official website, he made it quite clear that it was “crazy” when the former PSG boss arrived to start work with the squad.
He didn’t veer away from the fact that training has been so tough; since the first week alone was crazy.
He also appreciated the fact that it is what the club needs if they are going to compete in the Premier League and improve on their performance last season.
“There are certain levels we didn’t reach physically and that is something the new manager wants to change this year. So while it has been hard, it’s also been exciting work because we know it is going to benefit us in the season.” He added.
Chalobah is an English professional footballer who plays as a center back or defensive midfielder for Chelsea.
Chalobah joined Chelsea in 2007 at the age of eight. He made his senior debut for Chelsea in the 2021 UEFA Super Cup Finals helping the club lift the trophy following a penalty-shootout.
