Late winner by Vangsgaard gave Denmark three points against China.

The Asian  giants did their best to send the game to a goalless draw but a late winner saw a plot twist from Vangsgaard with the assist from Harder. This game is the embodiment of resilience, hard work and team effort. The Chinese team could’ve given up but they had the belief that they could equalize and did everything and that is a task for England and Haiti to overcome in the next games of the group.

It was a powerful header from Vangsgaard. She got great power on to it which isn’t easy from that distance. Sevecke did well to hold the line and make it difficult for the goalkeeper. Otherwise it would have been likely that the keeper would have made the save.

Denmark are in the same group with England and Haiti. The late winner and the resiliency of the Chinese players is enough to say that this group is a group which any one of the four teams can qualify and there’s no favourite as it stands now.
