Cristiano Ronaldo’s thoughts about Glazers proved right
Al Nassr player was correct about Man Utd’s ownership all this time
Cristiano Ronaldo was right about the Glazers family of Manchester United and it is now being realised.
Ahead of Sunday’s 1-0 defeat to Arsenal, after Manchester United’s players walked out to the Stone Roses’ “This Is The One”, it would have been more accurate if they had returned to the dressing room at full-time to ‘Waterfall’, according to Manchester Evening News.
Following the conclusion of the Premier League encounter, Old Trafford turned into a waterfall, with a biblical storm covering M16. Additionally, the pitch quickly turned waterlogged and water gushed down the steps of the stands.
The Old Trafford roof was leakier than United’s defence has been this season. This proved as another reminder about how the Glazers have ignored Old Trafford.
Surely, it is crucial to acknowledge the amount of rain falling in such a short space of time, however, one of the world’s most famous football stadiums should have been able to manage it.
These unlikely rainy scenes have justified why Cristiano Ronaldo, in November 2022, spoke against the lack of improvements that had been made to the club’s general facilities.
Shortly before the 2022 World Cup, Cristiano Ronaldo spoke to Piers Morgan in what is known as his infamous interview and said: “The Glazers, they don’t care about the club. I mean, professional sport, as you know, Manchester is a marketing club.”
“They will get money from the marketing – the sport, it’s, they don’t really care, in my opinion. The fans, they’re always right. I think the fans should know the truth, should know that the players want the best for the club. I want the best for the club. This is why I came to Manchester United,” he added.
Ronaldo also said: “Nothing changed. The pool, the jacuzzi, even the gym. Even some parts of the technology, the kitchen, the chefs – who I appreciate are lovely persons – they stopped in time, which surprised me a lot as I thought I would see different things.”
