After an almost eight-month ban over offensive tweets, Kanye West’s account has been reinstated on Twitter by the tech billionaire Elon Musk who recently rebranded the platform to X.

The Grammy Award winning rapper rapper, known as Ye, was accused of violating the platform’s rules prohibiting incitement to violence going contrary to the rules of the platform.

He has not posted anything yet since the reinstatement of his account.

Ye’s account now shows his last post on 1 December 2022, a day before it was was suspended.

Elon Musk said this at the time of the suspension; Ye had “violated our rule against incitement to violence”, and that the account would be suspended.

The suspension took place after the musician went on a tweeting rampage and tweeted a series of offensive tweets – one of which appeared to show a symbol combining a swastika and the Star of David.

Kanye West is an American rapper, singer, songwriter, record producer, and fashion designer and one of the greatest musicians of all time with multiple Grammy awards.
