Pixie Lott reflects on challenges of adapting to music evolution for new album
Pixie Lott is set to release her first album in 10 years
Pixie Lott revealed her thoughts on the current music business and how it impacted her upcoming album following a decade-long hiatus.
The 33-year-old multi-hyphenate star shared that the music industry has seen a rapid change over the years.
The pop star, who is all game to release her album Encino later this year, reflected on how the industry has evolved over a decade.
Speaking exclusively to Daily Mail, the blonde beauty, who is married to model Oliver Cheshire, spilled details on her thoughts about music.
She explained: “It feels crazy that it’s been ten years because I just don’t know how that’s happened – like, I have done lots of different things throughout the ten years but I never meant for it to be that long to release an album.”
Lott claimed that although she is getting roped into learning new algorithms in the industry, she still believes that “the music industry has changed so much” and it feels “like I’m still kind of learning the ropes because my brain is still on how it was before.”
Expanding her thoughts on the subject, Pixie said that people don’t care about “charts” anymore.
Opening up about her forthcoming album, she concluded: “It’s all changed as well in the sense that people are releasing songs all the time. It’s very fast-paced and this album is actually the complete opposite of that.”
