Team USA won men’s 4x400m relay.

Another gold medal for team USA in the men’s 4x400m relay at the World Athletics Championships which ended yesterday Sunday, 27th August in Budapest, Hungary.

It was the fourth relay gold medal for team USA and it was achieved through sheer determination from the quartet Quincy Hall, Vernon Norwood, Justin Robinson and Rai Benjamin. Quincy started the race and Benjamin was the guy to end at 2:57:31.

Their gold medal was actually team USA’s fourth consecutive relay win at the World Athletics Championships which deserves applause.

Team USA won the mixed 4x400m relay on the opening day, swept both men’s and women’s 4x100m.

Rai Benjamin who took the last race to see team USA win gold shared his thoughts on the race:

“I felt like I wasn’t moving that fast but I’m happy these guys got me in a position to bring it home,” he mentioned to reporters.

“It’s what we talked about before. After the 400m hurdles, I wanted to come back and anchor this relay. It means a lot that the guys have faith in me and trust me. It is amazing.”

Norwood also shared his excitement on taking the second leg in helping the team win gold:

“It’s great to finally get a gold at these championships,” Norwood mentioned.

“I want to thank the guys for helping to make my dream come true.”
