Mason Greenwood signs new loan deal with Getafe. The 11th hour move was announced by the club last month and United made it clear that Mason 21, would exit the club.

Mason Greenwood has little playing time last season and many saw his exit coming. Why be with a club you have no playing time when you can get playing time at another club? That was the conversation among sports pundits and fans who wanted to see him get more playing time.

On the back of that, Spanish La liga side Getafe came calling and what seemed like a rumor in the beginning, turned out to be real.

Manchester United made a revelation on their website confirming the deal:

“Mason Greenwood has signed for La Liga side Getafe CF on a season-long loan, subject to international clearance. The move enables Greenwood to begin to rebuild his career away from Manchester United. The club will continue to offer its support to Mason and his family during this period of transition.” The club stated.

Bordalas added: “I can only speak at a footballing level. We all know the potential he has. He is a very young boy and we hope that he adapts to a very different League. Surely he wants to recover his professional status and Getafe can help him in that sense.”

He had an impressive youth career with Manchester United academy which informed the decision of the team to add him to the senior squad which he delivered.
