King Charles finally gives in to Queen Camilla’s persistent pleas: ‘Never an easy task’

King Charles seemingly made a big sacrifice for his wife, Queen Camilla, in order to ease her tensions.

The monarch, who has been championing environmental causes in every position, decided to skip a key calendar event dedicated to climate change after receiving a strict warning.

Charles will not be attending the 29th United Nations Climate Change Conference, COP, after making a powerful speech at last year’s conference in Dubai.

Palace officials told the press that the King’s presence will not be at COP29 this year because he will have “recently” got back to the U.K. after his trip to Australia and Samoa. The monarch is undergoing cancer treatment, which will be paused for 11 days for the state visits.

Considering his health, it was advised against to attend the climate conference. This decision has greatly pleased Camilla, who has been concerned about Charles overworking himself.

“Camilla will be pleased he is not going straight off to Azerbaijan,” a friend of Camilla told Daily Beast said. “She didn’t particularly want him to go to Australia, and she will be encouraging him to take it easy once he gets back—never an easy task.”

The royal couple is expected to travel to Down Under next week and to return to UK by the end of October. Although COP does not start until November 11th.

Previously, The Daily Beast reported that Camilla fears that Charles is “working to hard.”

“She wants him to slow down, she is afraid he is working too hard, and that’s before you even get to the Australia tour,” a pal of the Queen said.
