Hilton also shared that she “can’t wait to have another baby” at ‘GQ’ magazine’s Men of the Year Awards
Paris Hilton is a very proud mom!
Speaking exclusively to PEOPLE at GQ’s Men of the Year Awards in Los Angeles on Thursday, Hilton, 42, said that she was “obsessed” with her baby boy, Phoenix Barron, who was born via surrogate in January.
“It’s exciting to have this next phase in my life and just to have this little angel who just brightens up my day every morning and this smile melts my heart,” she says. “He’s my best buddy and I just am obsessed.
Hilton — who shares Phoenix with her husband Carter Reum — adds that her son spends his time laughing and dancing, as well as smiling “every second.” She also reveals that the baby has even mastered a few words!
“He says, ‘Mama.’ He says, ‘Yes.’ He says, ‘Dada’ too, now,” Hilton says. “I felt like the other day when I said, ‘I love you, bey.’ He said something back to me and it sounded like, ‘I love you.’ ”
Hilton also tells PEOPLE that her mother, Kathy Hilton, loves stopping by her house to see Phoenix, adding that she is “so in love with him.”
And it might not be long until Phoenix has a sibling as the star reveals that she, “can’t wait to have another baby,” and would love to have a little girl next!
The reality TV star enjoyed a night off from mommy duties at the star-studded gala which was held at L.A.’s Chateau Marmont Hotel. Other guests included Kim Kardashian, Megan Fox, Megan Thee Stallion and Dua Lipa. Hilton opted to wear a draped silver, sparkling gown on the evening.
Paris’ sister Nicky Hilton, 40, previously came to her nephew’s defense following mean comments about his appearance.
“I think that if you are bullying an infant then you have serious issues and you really [have to] take a look at yourself,” Nicky told Page Six at the Glamour Magazine Women of the Year event on Nov.7 “It’s so demented,” she added.
Paris also shut down negative comments about the size of her son’s head last month, stating her “angel is perfectly healthy” and “just has a large brain.”
“Living life in the spotlight, comments are inevitable, but targeting my child, or anyone else’s for that matter, is unacceptable,” she added in a post shared to her Instagram story.
