The former Real Madrid midfield anchor man has revealed reasons why he opted to leave the Santiago Bernabeu for Old Trafford last season.

Casemiro explained: “It was a chance to leave a big club on top, at an age that still allows me to have that willpower. If it was two or three years from now, I wouldn’t be leaving Real Madrid to go to another big club, I wouldn’t have that ambition to change leagues.”

The Brazilian also puts his quick adaptation down to the warm embrace he received he had upon reaching the shores of England, the Brazilian marksman had won everything needed in football from the most coveted price in football which is the Champions League to the Spanish La Liga itself.

After all this, he probably lacked the motivation needed at the higher side hence the decision to switch to the most competitive league in the world, the Premier League has had some upgrades and with the constant flow of cash into the league from the Arab world, it has captivated the attention of most players around the globe, a trait which Casmero found irresistible.

He was pleased to have found it easy in the league once more saying.

“Everyone at the club has always been very affectionate, I felt loved from day one, which wasn’t easy after spending ten years at Real Madrid. It’s been a very good mix, from the fans, staff, and players, and that’s been very important for my adaptation.”
