Austen Kroll Apologizes for ‘Slut-Shaming’ Ex Olivia Flowers as She Defends Casino Sighting with Tom Sandoval

Olivia Flowers and ‘Vanderpump Rules’ star Tom Sandoval were spotted leaving a Las Vegas casino simultaneously between BravoCon events

BravoCon 2023’s Southern Charm panel included a list of apologies and explanations — from Austen Kroll’s regretted words to Olivia Flowers’ late night sighting with Vanderpump Rules’ Tom Sandoval.

“I knew that question was gonna come around,” Flowers, 31, responded to a fan question during Sunday’s panel after she was seen leaving a casino with Sandoval, 40, Saturday night after hours. “We went to Paige [DeSorbo]’s birthday and just ended up leaving at the same time.”

“I remember just walking through the casino and I heard ‘That’s Olivia and Sandoval,’ and I was like…s—,” she added. Flowers clarified there’s nothing happening between the Bravo stars, even referencing Sandoval’s ex. “We just left at the same time. I’m a big Ariana [Madix] fan.”

It wasn’t the only time Flowers was the focus during Sunday’s panel. Her ex Kroll, 36, took a moment to apologize for how he referenced Flowers’ kiss with a baseball player on the show while speaking to Rod Razavi.

Of unintentionally brushing off Flowers’ love life, Kroll stated: “I never meant it to come across that way, and I would never intend to slut-shame you, Olivia.”

He continued, “That was not my intention whatsoever. I thought I was kind of, in the moment, being like, ‘She’s seeing someone else.’ I didn’t mean for it to be that way, and I guess that’s tone-deaf on my part. And that’s my bad.”

Most recently on the series, Kroll addressed whispers that Flowers had left her bra at his house — though not from anything nefarious. “Nothing happened. We cuddled a little bit. She kissed me right on the chest and she f—ing left,” Kroll told Razavi on the episode.

Kroll and Flowers’ relationship played out on season 8 of the series. They started spending time together in late 2021, though in 2022 they clarified no official relationship had taken off.

“When you came to me and you wanted to be 100 percent,” Flowers said to Kroll during the show’s season 8 reunion, “I was in the place where I was just mentally f—– because things with you were so complicated. I told you, ‘I don’t see it with us right now,’ [but] I guess I imagined that we would get there. You were just like, ‘OK, yeah, we’ll be friends.'”

In an October episode, Flowers was in “hard disbelief” when she learned her best friend, Taylor Ann Green, had hooked up with Kroll — and even suggested they try dating. “We’re certainly not in the place we were this time last year,” Flowers told PEOPLE at the time.I don’t necessarily know if we’ll ever get back to that place. She recently went through something very tragic and difficult, and I reached out then because that’s really all that matters — none of the other drama. But there’s a lot more distance there with us.”
