Buckingham Palace announces Prince William’s new honour from King Charles
King Charles assigns Prince William new big role after Harry and Meghan’s ne plan revealed

Prince William will execute a very crucial duty on behalf of his dad King Charles III, Buckingham Palace has announced.
King Charles has honoured his eldest son William by assigning him a very important role after Harry and Meghan’s new plan has been revealed.
The Prince of Wales will travel to France, with other heads of state, to attend key D-Day commemoration in Normandy, north-east France next week.
The future King is set to be the senior UK figure at a gathering of 25 world leaders at Omaha beach on the 80th anniversary of the landings on June 6.
The announcement comes after Harry revealed he will continue visiting countries after successful Nigeria trip that reportedly hurt the King.
The much-anticipated ceremony will honour the estimated 160,000 American, British and Canadian troops who landed at the beach on D-Day.
As well as being alongside international heads of state, William will join D-Day veterans and attend the the Canadian commemorative ceremony at the Juno Beach Centre, Courseulles-sur-Mer, hosted by the Canadian government, Buckingham Palace has announced.
Charles and Queen Camilla will also be in Normandy for the celebrations but will be at a separate event marking the British memorial.
US President Joe Biden will reportedly be in the country, while French President Emmanuel Macron confirmed that Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelenskyy would also be taking part in the commemorations, according to reports.
Jake Larson, a 101-year-old Army veteran and D-Day survivor, is expected to attend the anniversary. The battles on D-Day of June 6, 1944 reportedly pushed the German forces back from the coast and across France and were among the most important in bringing about the end of the Second World War, which ended almost a year later.
The event is said to be the latest step for future King William in his burgeoning international role. He will take the solo flight as his wife Kate Middleton is still not undertaking public duties following her cancer treatment.
