Can Columbia defeat England for a place in the semifinals?

Columbia face England on Saturday in the quarterfinals of the 2023 FIFA Women World Cup. The tournament which has already proven to be a tournament of the underdogs biting every big fish with Germany, Brazil and USA booted out of the tournament; is this game going to buttress the aforementioned statement or England will win?

Columbia who defeated South Korea 2-0, defeated, Germany 2-1, and  lost  to the North Africans Morocco 1-0 but that didn’t deny them a place in the knockout stages. They had to overcome the “Ragge Gurlz” Jamaica for a place in the quarterfinals and they executed it perfectly with 1-0 result.

They’ve had impressive performances so far and for team considered underdog in this tournament, maybe it’s time for the big names to sit up. And talking of the big names sitting up, England has a lot to do if they really want a place in the Semifinals.

England had a great moment in the group stage beating Haiti 1-0, Denmark 1-0 and punishing China severely 6-1 showing no mercy.

The Women’s EURO champions have a repudiation to protect and the forthcoming quarterfinals on Saturday’ is one many football fanatics are looking forward to.

England had a difficult game against Nigeria and that game exposed the team which resulted in the misconduct of Lauren James which resulted in a red card.
