Carly Pearce Glitters in Floor-Sweeping Sequin Gown at 2023 CMA Awards
The country star is nominated for musical event of the year and female vocalist of the year
Carly Pearce had a shining moment at the 2023 CMA Awards on Wednesday.
The “What He Didn’t Do” singer, 32, walked the red carpet in a glamorous Monique Lhuillier strapless gown featuring a shimmery silver sequin-embellished skirt that retails for $3,495. The metallic hue was accented by a black velvet top and matching train.
Pearce styled her hair in soft waves and accessorized with a pair of glittery statement earrings by Alexis Bittar. She wore a pair of Christian Louboutin heels.
Pearce will also take the stage to perform “We Don’t Fight Anymore” with Chris Stapleton. The critically acclaimed single, which was released in June, is nominated for musical event of the year. Pearce also earned a nomination for female vocalist of the year, which she previously won in 2021.
Other performers include Kelsea Ballerini, Morgan Wallen and Little Big Town. The three-time CMA winner has had a big year so far — she embarked on an international tour, released two singles and won her first Grammy. The artist is also gearing up for the release of her fourth studio album.
Earlier this year, Pearce told PEOPLE that she’s in her “favorite season of life.”
“I get to literally do what I love every single day,” Pearce said. “I get to be the artist that I always wanted to be. I get to sing the kind of songs that I always wanted to and write the kind of music I want, be a part of events that I always wanted to be.”
The country star said her 2021 album, 29: Written in Stone, solidified who she is as a performer. Now, she’s doubling down on what’s important to her.
“So much has happened in the last few years for me in my personal life and professional life, and I just feel even more confident to just put my flag on the ground with all that I am,” Pearce said.
The 2023 CMA Awards, hosted by Luke Bryan and Peyton Manning, will air live from Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena on Nov. 8 at 8 p.m. ET on ABC and stream exclusively on Hulu the following day.
