Enrique Iglesias Says His Three Kids Are Beginning to Realize Their Dad Is a Pop Star: They Were ‘Amazed’

Enrique Iglesias’ kids may not have seen him in concert yet, but they’re quickly learning that their dad is a pop star.

While speaking with Today earlier this week, the singer, 48, revealed that his three kids — daughter Mary, 3, and twins Nicholas and Lucy, 5 — haven’t attended any of his shows yet but are just now realizing that their dad is a big deal. Iglesias shares his three kids with his longtime partner Anna Kournikova.

“My son, when he saw me at rehearsal, it was like, ‘What?!'” Iglesias told the outlet. “Because he’s seen a lot of music videos and videos on stage of me performing, but to be able to see it in person, the production and lights, it’s like, ‘Oh my God.'”

“He was like watching an alien or UFO, in a good way. He was amazed.”

Though his kids might not be able to attend a show until they get a little bit older, Iglesias says they already have a favorite song they can’t wait to hear in person — especially Mary.
“Whenever I go to pick her up at school, I pick up all of them, and she’s always the one that starts singing ‘I Like It’ a lot of times,” Iglesias said of his younger daughter. “And then they all start singing it together. It’s the cutest thing ever. That’s her favorite song.”

On Mother’s Day in 2022, Kournikova shared a photo on Instagram of the family of five as they gathered on the grass for a day of fun and wished the “Bailamos” singer a happy birthday.

“Happy Birthday to the most amazing Dad! We super love you!!! ❤️,” Kournikova captioned the post.

Iglesias leaned over to give Lucy a kiss for the photo, while he held their other daughter Mary on his shoulders. Nicholas meanwhile sat on his mom’s lap.

Iglesias also shared a Mother’s Day post, honoring not only his wife but all moms. The singer posted a video of Kournikova letting loose and rocking out with one of their daughters in the backyard as they danced around together, carelessly swinging their hair.

“Happy Mother’s Day ! To all the Mothers around the world, You rock 🤟❤️,” Iglesias wrote under the funny video.
