Gabrielle Union, Dwyane Wade Celebrate Thanksgiving with Their Kids: ‘Thankful for the Ones We Hold Close’

Gabrielle Union and Dwyane Wade showed their gratitude for family and friends this Thanksgiving!

The couple threw a “Wade Thanksgiving” party as they celebrated the holiday with daughters Kaavia James, 5, and Zaya, 16, and other family members, as seen in photos shared on Instagram Friday.

“Thankful for the ones we hold close 💜,” Union, 51, wrote in the caption of her carousel post.

“My favorite day of the year,” Wade, 41, added in the comments section.

Union and Wade threw a “Wade Thanksgiving” bash with family for the holiday.

In a video posted from the gathering, Kaavia, who looked festive in a green dress and red lipstick, recited a Thanksgiving prayer in front of guests during the party, as she stood in between her mom and dad.
A following photo showed Union flashing a peace sign as she and Wade posed with Kaaiva beside a lit-up “Wade” sign in front of a shrub. Wade posed for another shot with his little girl as the pair shared a kiss outdoors during the bash.

In a second clip, Union danced with some relatives outdoors as a band was heard playing the instrumental to Beyoncé’s “Cuff It.”

Union was then joined by her husband and daughters as they posed for a final group photo at the party with their extended family and friends, including Queen Latifah.

Posting an Instagram Story clip from the bash, Wade wrote, “A Wade Thanksgiving! A good a– time!”

The couple’s daughter Zaya, 16, was also in attendance at the bash

Back in August, while accepting a Hall of Fame honor, Wade thanked his family in his speech “for being there for me and for loving me in the most perfect way possible.”

“I appreciate you guys and I love y’all,” he said of his loved ones in attendance, before specifically recognizing his wife, adding, “And my wife Gab, would you please stand. Thank you for making our house a home.”

Wade continued, “I know I’m traveling for work this year during our anniversary, so I want to say, thank you for being on this journey for me — with me, these past 15 years. Thank you for learning to love my imperfections, just as much as we enjoyed and love the moments of perfection. I love you.”
