Jelly Roll makes kind gesture for ‘cancer survivor’ fan mid-concert
Jelly Roll paused his performance when he spotted a fan in the crowd using an IV drip
Jelly Roll has proven to be a true “class act” after pausing his concert to help a struggling fan revealed to be a “cancer survivor”
The country star, 39, was performing at Tailgates N’ Tallboys country music festival held late July in Midland, Michigan, when he spotted the fan in the audience using an IV drip.
In fan-made videos circulating TikTok, Jelly Roll — born Jason Bradley Deford — is seen addressing the fan from the stage.
“I’ve seen a lot of crazy s**t at my shows. But this young lady is out here with a full-blown IV,” he remarked. The fan then revealed she is a “cancer survivor,” prompting the musician to take action.
“Let’s get her a chair,” Jelly Roll instructed his team, ensuring the fan could watch the rest of the show in comfort. “Somebody on my team, let’s get her somewhere more comfortable to watch the rest of the show. We’ll get you off your feet, baby. Okay?” he continued, showing genuine concern for her well-being.
Fans praised the thoughtful gesture in the TikTok comments.
One empathised, “Awww as a cancer survivor I love this!! She had to be so weak but she’s there. I couldn’t have done it when I was in treatment.”
Another fan commented, “He is the most wholesome artist out there,” while another added, “He is a class act!!!!!”
