Kaia Gerber and Cindy Crawford Step Out for Mother-Daughter Night with Matching Looks in N.Y.C.
Cindy Crawford and Kaia Gerber are spending time together in New York City!
The fashion-forward mother-daughter duo stepped out in the Big Apple on Tuesday for a Planet Omega Fashion Panel and Cocktail Party. Both ladies wore all black for the event.
While taking photos on the red carpet, Gerber, 22, posed with her supermodel mom, 57.
The American Horror Stories actress’ hair was pinned in an updo with a long-sleeved black turtleneck paired with a high-waisted pleated mini skirt. Dressed for the fall, Gerber added sheer stockings and closed-toe pumps to complete her look.
Standing beside her daughter, Crawford hugged the Bottoms star with one arm and held a black purse in her free hand. She wore a flowing midi dress with a V-cut neckline and boots for the occasion.
Before the panel began, Crawford joked with the crowd about the height difference between the two.
“Just in case you’re wondering, she has longer legs than me,” The Super Models talent said while pointing to Gerber as the crowd laughed.
Crawford also shared photos of jewelry on her Instagram Story and tagged the Swiss luxury watch company. Her partnership with Omega dates back to 1995. In 2015, they celebrated 20 years of working together.
“Cindy Crawford is the brand’s longest-serving ambassador. She was chosen initially for her fashion flair and style but it soon became clear that she shared OMEGA’s values,” the brand said in a release at the time.
Crawford added that when she was brought on board, Omega had a reputation for stocking “a lot of stereotypically ‘guy stuff.’”
After joining as an ambassador and giving her feedback on the design of the Constellation watches, she “considered [Omega] to be a fashionable watchmaker.”
Gerber landed her deal with the luxury company in 2017. She helped launch the campaign for the new Tresor collection, which originated in 1949.
According to Omega’s website, when Gerber attended the 2021 Met Gala, “her stunning wardrobe included a piece of art in its own right: OMEGA’s 24.4 mm De Ville Prestige Dewdrop.”
It was her first time at the annual fundraiser. She wore a strapless black floor-length ball gown with the Omega watch with a black band on her left wrist.
Earlier this year, Crawford spoke exclusively to PEOPLE about how her youngest is handling fame.
“I think that she kind of sees how my husband [Rande Gerber] and I have dealt with it throughout the years,” the proud mom said at the 6th annual Best Buddies charity event in May. “Which is not like, we don’t ever try to, ‘Oh, we can’t go there because we might get photographed.’ ”
After noting that the industry has changed since her modeling days, Crawford added, “I’m learning along with her about that stuff, but I feel like she seems like she has a very good head on her shoulders and is figuring out how she wants to create that private work-public balance.”
