King Charles’ royal visit abruptly halts after shocking incident: Watch
King Charles comes to face a rude interruption as he gets attacked by protestor in Canberra

King Charles came to face an unexpected encounter which interrupted his royal engagement in Australia’s parliament on Monday.
The monarch and his wife Queen Camilla, who were welcomed by Prime Minister Anthony Albanese and fiancée Jodie Haydon, to the Parliament House in Canberra.
As King Charles and Camilla were seated at the centre stage, MP Lidia Thorpe, dressed in indigenous dress, launched into a verbal attack towards the visiting royal couple.
“Give us what you stole from us, our boys, their skulls, their babies and people who destroyed our lives,” Thorpe shouted. “Give us the treaty. We want a treaty in this country. You are a death, Solomon. This is not your land. It’s not your land.”
She continued yelling “You are not my King,” as she was being dragged out by the police.
In the video clip, throughout the incident, Charles remained seated calmly and continued to watch the scene unfold in front of him. Then Prime Minister Anthony Albanese leans over and says something to him and appearing to smile.
After the brief interruption, the royal engagement resumed as usual and Albanese praised king Charles for his work regrading climate change and spoke about the respect Australians had for their monarch.
The royal couple will continue their visit to Australia in Sydney on Tuesday, before heading to Samoa for a meeting of countries in the British Commonwealth.
