King Charles has long been an environmental advocate, campaigning against plastic pollution and raising awareness about climate change. His love for nature is a core part of his life and shapes many of his personal habits, including one that some might find quirky: talking to plants.

In 2010, Charles shared, “I happily talk to plants and trees and listen to them,” and he even has a tradition of “shaking hands” with a tree’s branch after planting it.

Despite the physical distance, Archie has adopted a similar habit. In a 2022 interview with The Cut, Meghan revealed that Archie greets two palm trees in their Montecito garden every day as he walks past, a routine inspired by his parents’ shared connection to nature.

The Duchess explained: “One of the first things my husband saw when we walked around the house was those two palm trees…See how they’re connected at the bottom? He goes, ‘My love, it’s us.'” This led to Archie picking up his seriously cute habit, “Now every day when Archie goes by us, he says, ‘Hi, Momma. Hi, Papa.'” Meghan explained.
