Neymar attributes the influx of Europe’s top players to Saudi Pro League to the influence of C.Ronaldo.

The Saudi Pro League has become the poster of influential leagues in the Arab world attracting all the big names in football. One player who joined Al-Hilal not long ago, 31year old Neymar has attributed everything to Cristiano Ronaldo for his influence which has attracted many players from Europe to the Saudi Pro League.

Many people including football pundits and fans had a lot of backlash for Cristiano Ronaldo when he opted for the move to Al-Nassr from his youth club Manchester United. His return to his darling club Manchester United didn’t end well as he wanted. It was both on and off the field altercations and issues which he touched on many in a tell it all interview which sparked a lot of questions and controversy. The Portuguese international moved to Al-Nassr and according to Neymar who joined a rival club Al-Hilal gives the credit to Ronaldo for influencing most of the players who are currently moving there.

‘I believe Cristiano Ronaldo started all of this and everybody called him ‘crazy’, and this and that, today you see the league more and more,” He stated.

The Saudi Pro League is seeing the influx of European players and this is definitely not the end; More players are yet to join the league.
