Noah Lyles won his third consecutive 200m gold medal at the at World Athletics Championships in Budapest, Hungary. He wasted no time in cementing his name as the best on planet earth now by matching a feat last achieved by Usain Bolt.

He won gold in the men’s 100m which fueled his enthusiasm towards the 200m. He won the 200m in 19.52 seconds even though he couldn’t break his record 19.47, which is the world-leading time.

“Winning double golds was one of the things on my list (of goals),” Lyles said. “I wanted to show I am different. Today I came out and showed it. I am double champion.” Lyles stated.

Noah is good at what does and it’s not shocking he keeps making Americans and the athletics community proud anytime he shows up.

Erriyon Knighton of USA won silver with the time 19.75 followed by Botswana’s Letsile Tebogo in 19.81 who picked up silver.

“If I can keep going the same way, maybe next year the gold will be mine,” Knighton said. “If I can join these guys every year, that is a whole lot of motivation. It does not matter what the colour of this medal is.”  Knighton mentioned.

“My performance in Budapest means a lot to me, to the country and to the continent, because it is not about me, it is about the people,” Letsile stated.
