‘One Life to Live’ star Mark Dobies dies at 65
Mark Dobies is a footballer-turned-talented actor known for his roles in ‘One Life to Live’ and ‘Guiding Light’

Mark Dobies, famous for starring in One Life to Live and Guiding Light, has passed away at the age of 65.
People confirmed his death after a local obituary cited that the soap opera star breathed his last on March 11 in Dunellen, New Jersey.
Notably, the cause of the Philadelphia-born actor’s death was not revealed on the website, which described him as “a loving father, accomplished athlete and talented actor” who “lived a life full of passion, perseverance and love.”
His obituary describes his three children —Francesca, 27, Olivia, 24, and Robert, 21— as “the center of his universe.”
“His presence on screen and stage reflected his dedication and talent as a performer”” his obituary read before ending. “His legacy lives on in the lives he touched and the love he gave so freely. May he fly high like his Birds off to heaven.”
The football player-turned-actor landed his first onscreen role on the drama series Fame L.A. in 1997.
His notable role as Noah Chase on CBS’ Guiding Light (2000) brought him some fame, eventually leading to his portrayal of District Attorney Daniel Colson on ABC’s One Life to Live from 2003 to 2005.
In addition to his adult children, Dobies is survived by his mother, Suzanne, his brother, Paul, and his sister, Sandy.
