Prince Harry introduces interesting changes to his lifestyle
Prince Harry’s ‘accent has changed’ since leaving UK

In a lifestyle shift, the now “celebrified” Duke of Sussex reportedly dedicates 40 minutes each day to meditation — while being urged to “get a job” by Princess Diana’s former private secretary.
Prince Harry, 39, made headlines when he stepped back from royal duties in 2020 and relocated to the U.S. with his wife, Meghan Markle.
Despite seeking a “private life,” the couple continues to leverage their royal titles for ventures like “faux royal tours” and delivering speeches that some have dismissed as “baloney.”
Living a notably more laid-back routine compared to his military days and the demands of UK life, Harry is said to be enjoying an “enviable” life under the Californian sun. His daily schedule includes a 40-minute meditation session, followed by fitness classes, according to The Telegraph.
Previously, the prince frequented Barry’s Bootcamp in Los Angeles, where memberships cost around £400 per month. However, he now reportedly invests in personal trainers for his workouts.
As he embraces the American “celebrity lifestyle,” Harry has also adopted a more Americanised accent and wardrobe. Close friends have noted subtle shifts in his speech, attire, and overall demeanor since moving to the U.S., reflecting his adjustment to life across the pond.
Close pals of the prince have said: “There are some subtle signs of American ‘celebrification’ too – Harry’s accent has shifted to swap ‘t’s for ‘d’s, and details of his designer outfits have started to appear in news reports alongside those of his wife’s wardrobe.”
The twang in the royal’s voice first started to be noticed after the famous Oprah Winfrey interview in 2021.
When talking about how his “security was going to be removed”, viewers noticed the ‘t’ was very American-sounding.
And in an interview with US broadcaster NBC in 2022, the same pronunciation was picked up.
Former King’s College language specialist Tony Thorne said: “Prince Harry can be heard dropping his ‘ts’ in some instances – including when talking about his new home in Santa Barbara.”
He has also adopted American phrases since his move, such as “you guys” and “pop the hood” – meaning open the boot of a car.
