Prince Harry left red-faced by King Charles over future with Meghan Markle

Prince Harry reportedly lost his cool and became emotional after receiving a disappointing reaction from King Charles, Prince William over his plans for the future with Meghan Markle.

The Duke of Sussex was left ‘infuriated’ after his fathersaid he couldn’t afford to pay for Meghan, according to a new book detailing reported tensions between Harry and Charles.

Harry shared the details about his and the former Suits star Meghan’s future plans with his brother Prince William and his father Charles, but he was not met with the positive response he had hoped for.

William, as reported in The Mirror, asked his younger brother Harry if he was “sure” he wanted to marry her, before his father then claimed he couldn’t afford to pay for Meghan in the future.

The future monarch reportedly made the claim alongside trying to explain that he couldn’t pay for both her, his wife Camilla, William, Kate and their young family.

The conversation allegedly left Harry “infuriated” with tensions growing until their wedding day, May 19, 2018.

In recent years, tensions have been notable between Harry and his family since Meghan and Harry decided to step down as working royals in 2020. It emerges after the Duke lost a High Court battle against the UK Home Office over the level of his security protection when he is in the UK.
