Prince Harry makes meaningful gesture for King Charles at Invictus Games
King Charles receives an olive branch from estranged son Prince Harry
Prince Harry may not have been publicly in touch with King Charles for the past year, but the Duke of Sussex made a significant gesture out of respect for his father.
The Duke of Sussex, who will be continuing with the Invictus Games solo as Meghan Markle flies back to California, refused a major request which could have offended the royal family.
Harry released his bombshell memoir, Spare, in 2023 which led to much friction between the already strained relations between the Duke and his father and brother, Prince William.
In a video clip shared by the royal’s old colleague, Igor Krystak, a Sports Manager for Team Ukraine at last year’s games, Harry seemed nervous but remained firm after he was asked to sign a copy of Spare in front of the cameras.
In the encounter, which took place in Whistler, Igor had asked the royal to sign the book for a donations raffle but Harry told him, “Not here.”
Harry then took a moment to walk up to Igor and tell him to “Find me later”, while adding, “I’m here all week.”
In response, Igor agreed, “Okay, I’ll find you later.”
