Sarah Jessica Parker details her lifelong struggle to gain weight
Sarah Jessica Parker reveals she does not like being thin

Sarah Jessica Parker opened up about her struggle to gain weight, revealing that she does not like being thin.
In conversation with beauty expert Caroline Hirons on her podcast Glad We Had This Chat, the Hocus Pocus actress shared, “A lot of people have their kind of their cross to bear. I don’t like being thin. And if you met my siblings it’s the same genetic make up, and I don’t particularly think or celebrate being thin.”
She added, “I would prefer to have weight but that’s just the way my body works.”
The actress also shared her experience of working with her husband of 30 years Matthew Broderick in the two-man show, Plaza Suite.
She said, “The show was so physical. It was a lot that it was like, honestly hard to keep weight on, you know.”
Sarah continued, “But I generally feel better when I’m exerting something different than just walking.”
During her conversation, the 59-year-old actress gave a rare insight about her children James Wilke, 21, and twins Marha and Tabitha, 14.
She shared, “They are mercurial but I feel like that’s pretty much right on target for their age. They’re mostly really nice. I mean, you know, there are times that I do the wrong thing, say the wrong thing, I annoy them, I’m their mother.”
