SNL season finale promo: Sabrina Carpenter reveals the origin of her surname
Sabrina Carpenter will be the musical guest in upcoming ‘Saturday Night Live’ episode
The Saturday Night Live promo includes an interesting revelation: Sabrina Carpenter ended everyone’s curiosity about the origin of her surname.
The season finale episode of the NBC comedy sketch will feature Jake Gyllenhaal as the host and the Expresso hitmaker as the musical guest. In the promo, the duo was joined by Bowen Yang.
In the third take of the promo, Gyllenhaal and Yang asked the songstress, “Where does the name ‘Carpenter’ come from?”
The 25-year-old American singer and actress jokingly replied, “It comes out of the woodwork.”
This quip was made after Carpenter praised the Road House star and the 33-year-old comedian on their vocals in the first part of the promo.
Initially, Yang addressed the vocalist, exclaiming, “Sabrina, your song is stuck in my head!”
When he started singing the song, Carpenter clarified that it wasn’t her song, “Oh, that’s not my song, I don’t think.”
However, Gyllenhaal interrupted her, saying, “yes, it is,” before joining Yang to show off his vocal talent.
Impressed by their performance, the Tall Girl actress can’t help but compliment their rendition, “Wait, that’s actually really good, guys.”
The upcoming Saturday Night Live episode will mark the season finale episode.
