Tom Felton is keeping the magic alive, and apparently, so is the group chat with the Harry Potter cast.

The actor, forever known as Slytherin’s finest, Draco Malfoy, recently stopped by the grand opening of the new Harry Potter Shop in Chicago, and let’s just say the nostalgia hit hard.

Speaking to PEOPLE ahead of the launch on April 9, Felton shared how the themed space — designed with Goblet of Fire vibes — transported him right back to the wizarding world that defined a decade of his life.

“Not only does seeing the house colors bring me back to being Team Slytherin all the way,” he said, “but the experience of the store is magical, for lack of a better pun.”

Felton, now 37, couldn’t resist picking up a replica of Draco’s wand from the store’s collection.

“Lots of hours with this in my hand,” he said with a smile. “So it’s kind of cool to see that again. Yeah, many happy memories.”

Even better? The Harry Potter crew is still as close-knit as ever — no magic required.

“In fact I just took a video of the store and sent it to them,” Felton revealed, referring to the cast’s ever-active WhatsApp group.

“But yeah we’re all very tight still, very close. We’re usually in four corners of the earth at the same time, so it’s difficult to round us all up together. But Slytherins and Gryffindors are friendly.”
