Travis and Jason Kelce Share an Embrace and a Laugh After Eagles Beat Chiefs for First Time Since 2009
Jason and Travis Kelce ended their latest NFL rematch with another emotional exchange.
The Kelce brothers faced off as the Philadelphia Eagles and Kansas City Chiefs played each other again for the first time since the 2023 Super Bowl, with the game marking their fourth time playing each other.
On Monday night, the Chiefs hosted the Eagles at the Arrowhead Stadium, but this time, the Eagles came out on top, winning 21-17.
Immediately after the game, Jason and Travis found each other on the field, where they had a brief interaction, sharing an embrace and a laugh before Travis continued on to his locker room and Jason continued to greet people on the field.

Their on-field moment was slightly less emotional than the one they shared after Super Bowl LVII in February, when the Chiefs beat out the Eagles 38 to 35. The historic game — which marked the first time siblings on opposing teams played each other in the championship — also saw Travis winning over Jason for the third time in their ongoing matchups.
At the end of the game, after the clock ran out, the brothers ran up to each other to share an emotional moment on the field. “Come here,” older brother Jason, 35, said to his teary-eyed brother, 33, while going in for a hug. “Good job, Travis. Congratulations.”
“I love you, big guy,” Travis responded. Jason then replied, “I love you, too. Good job. Go celebrate.”
Apparently at a loss for words, Travis was heard saying, “I don’t know what to tell you, big guy” as his brother insisted for him “go celebrate.” Before Travis was swept up in the celebratory moment, Jason said, “I love you… Funnest year of my life.”
Monday night’s matchup between the Eagles and the Chiefs is the fifth overall with both brothers on their respective teams.
They first went head-to-head in 2013, however, Travis was sidelined with an injury. The next matchup was 2017, followed by 2021. Most notably, they faced each other again during the 2023 Super Bowl, which some affectionately nicknamed the Kelce Bowl.
When Jason asked Travis on a recent episode of their New Heights podcast if he enjoys playing against him, Travis said it’s “fun as hell, man.”
He added, “I enjoy just being in the NFL with you let alone when we actually get to share the field. It brings all of our family, all of our friends together to watch one game. Outside of the score at the end, I know that … I definitely have fun throughout every single game that we’ve ever played.”
