Travis Kelce reveals his plan for football career in the future

Travis Kelce is seriously considering his plans for retirement as NFL season comes closer to its conclusion.

The 35-year-old NFL superstar has broken multiple records this year including becoming the fastest tight end to record 12,000 receiving yards by reaching that figure in just 172 matches.

After breaking the record, he replaced Tony Gonzalez, who took 210 games to reach the same milestone.

However, the Chiefs’ tight end recently revealed his plan for retirement on New Heights podcast which he hosts with his brother Jason Kelce.

“Goddamn, [Gonzalez] played 210 games? What the f—?” Travis said to Jason, who clarified, “Well, he played more than that… it took him 210 games to get to 12,000.”

Travis then replied, “I don’t know if I can… that’s almost 40 more games. I don’t know if I can play 40 more!” Jason then pointed out: “Listen, that’s a lot more games. He got 15,000 [yards]!” to which a stunned Travis said: “How did he do it? Goddamn!”

As of now, Travis has played exactly 100 fewer regular-season games than Gonzalez, who capped off his legendary career with 272 NFL appearances.

The football champion has four games left in the regular season, but he’s set for more after securing a spot in the playoffs. He will play 18 more regular season games next season, in addition to his post-season match-ups.

This comes after the future of Travis’ career has gained much speculation after his popularity gained new heights because of his high-profile relationship with pop superstar Taylor Swift. The fan-favourite couple started dating last summer.
