Travis Kelce Shouts Out Taylor Swift for Liking Post About His NFL Record: ‘Thanks Tay, I Appreciate You’

During the latest episode of New Heights with Jason and Travis Kelce — the podcast he records with his brother Jason Kelce — Travis, 34, shouted out Taylor Swift for celebrating his recent NFL record.

On Sunday, Travis became the fastest tight end in NFL history to reach 11,000 receiving yards, and Swift, 33, was quick to show her support for her man’s history-making efforts.

The pop superstar liked an Instagram post from Travis’ team, the Kansas City Chiefs, celebrating the record on Monday.

And discussing Travis’ record and Swift’s show of support on their podcast, Jason, 36, noted, “You might not care about records but you know who does, a 92 percent-er by the name of Taylor Swift. That’s right. She liked an Instagram announcement from the Chiefs about you breaking this record.”

“Alright now. Thanks Tay,” responded Travis, while laughing at his sibling’s comment.

“Gotta love the support,” quipped Philadelphia Eagles center Jason. “Has she always been a fan of tight end receiving yards? Is she a big tight end receiving yards [fan]?”

“I’m not sure, that’s a good question,” replied Travis. “Maybe. I don’t know. I don’t know if she’s a fan of tight ends or not. I have to ask her.”

New couple Travis and Swift have been balancing their relationship alongside their busy careers. Travis recently traveled to Argentina to watch the “Karma” singer perform on her Eras Tour during his NFL bye week with the pair spotted kissing backstage.

The duo’s appearance together in South America comes as a source close to Travis told PEOPLE that the romance isn’t a flash in the pan.

“Travis’ friends think this is the real deal for him,” an insider close to the sportsman said. “They’re still a little shocked by all of it — that he’s dating the Taylor Swift, but they’ve seen how down to earth she is with his friends and family.”

The source added that the pair’s relationship is “growing” because they appreciate one another’s accomplishments and are both successful in their own right.

“They’re both really hard workers, and he acknowledges her art is hers, and he has what’s his,” the source told PEOPLE. “He understands the territory their relationship comes with and like he said, isn’t letting any of the hoopla impact how they’re growing together.”

“Their relationship is about the two of them, and he sees Taylor for who she is and vice versa,” they added.

Swift and Travis have been linked since September when the musician attended her first Kansas City Chiefs game sparking dating rumors between the pair.
